6 months cleaning. teeth looked good according to hygienist and doctor.
hygienist measured pockets. couple spots measured 4 mm. she said that gums may be inflamed and that numbers can always improve. the lower the number the better. she mentioned that most people w/ healthy gums measure 3 mm.
talked about floss. told her I prefer to use easy glide. glides normally used by those w/ tight contacts. she said that woven floss much better at picking up plaque and tartar. will start posting brands of floss when purchased.
doctor checked for throat cancer by feeling me up. normal.
mentioned to him teeth sensitivity to hot and cold. he said that it may be due to the type of toothpaste I use. told him I avoided all whitening toothpaste... and that all brands contain hydrated silica. will start posting brands of toothpaste.
everything normal. just need to maintain until next appointment in 6 months.

Dermatologist Appointment - Thumb Wart Removal
current song: Called Out In The Dark by Snow Patrol
visited kick ass dermatologist on 9.9.11.
reacted to glasses' nose pads. since skin became darker... I called it reverse vitiligo. been applying Porcelana for over a month. kick ass doctor noticed improvement. asked if applying cream only cosmetic. she said that it will take months for skin tone to even out.
couple weeks ago... on right thumb... noticed pimple. tried to squeeze that bastard. thumb became funky. doctor said I got a wart. she got a blade and then started to slice off my skin. fascinating to watch her do her thang... like a skilled Japanese chef cutting thin slices of sashimi. amazed I did not bleed. she then applied liquid nitrogen to the wart. frost bite on thumb. after few applications, she's like: you should start to feel pain. and I did. she then applied anti-pain cream. pretty cool procedure.

Bath & Body Works - Pure Vanilla

sounds tastier than the hand lotion in my southwest crispy chicken salad from Jack In The Box. that's another story.
most importantly... hand soap free of my eternal contact dermatitis nemesis quaternium.

product "specifically designed to fight germs and eliminate odors for clean hands". true that. hand soap "...formula kills... bacteria and germs while Fresh Source odor eliminators get rid of lingering.. smells". true that. "... blend of moisturizing honey, coconut milk, and olive fruit extracts help to nourish and soften skin, while exfoliating microspheres and cleansing bamboo extract leave hands deeply cleansed..." true that.

Porcelana - The Skin Discoloration Authority

few months ago... had many dranks one night... blacked out... slept w/ Silhouette glasses on. when woke up... glasses split in 2. found old Oakley glasses from several cycles ago. reacted to funky green nose pads. assumed contact dermatitis... applied steriod cream to combat. finally purchased new Oakley glasses. reacted to nose pads... got them changed to hypoallergenic ones.
have not applied topical steroid cream since I got my new prescription glasses. wanted skin to heal on own. assumed taking long time because skin thinned from applying cream. visited dermatologist. she said that pigmentation changed. may take months to heal. frell frell frell.
hydroquinone the active ingredient in Porcelana. dermatologist wanted to prescribe a cream w/ 4% hydroquinone. decided to try 2% in case I react to product.
purchased the 'night skin lightening cream' to 'perfect and even skin tone while I sleep'. product supposedly 'fades dark spots' and 'evens skin tone'.
favorite line: with Porcelana Night, your skin will wake up to face a brighter tomorrow.

Bath & Body Works - Warm Vanilla Sugar

Bath & Body Works finally opened up a location here in Hawaii a couple months ago. I assume that the Ala Moana location will top the country in gross sales... if not... rank in the top 5.

I initially posted a similar entry in August, 2009. w/ new packaging... I had to double check if this product contains my eternal nemesis quaternium. it does not. my hands will not have an allergic reaction. whew!
product "enriched w/ an exclusive blend of moisturizing honey, coconut mik and olive fruit extracts to help nourish and soften skin". true that. product "further enhanced w/ exfoliating microspheres and cleansing Bamboo extract, leaving hands lightly scented, deeply cleansed and feeling smooth and soft, while effectively fighting germs". true that.
product not hypoallergenic... but it is to me because it does not contain quaternium.

Old Spice Deodorant - Swagger
current song: Don't Hold Your Breath by Nicole Scherzinger
purchased product at Sam's Club. $8.58 for 4 deodorants each net weight of 2.25 oz. 9 oz total... or about $1 per ounce. hmmm... how much dry ounces in a fluid gallon? too lazy to look it up... but my first thought: a gallon of gas... currently $3.999 for unleaded at Costco... seems cheaper than my deodorant.
as I've written in previous posts... I prefer deodorants. gotta sweat the funk outta my bod. Old Spice Swagger only deodorant available at Sam's. all others anti-perspirants.

Locoid Lipocream - Right Fingers
current song: Insomnia by Faithless
at least 6 solar days since last applied steroid cream.
1st time using Locoid Lipocream from Triax Pharmaceuticals. similar class, family... as Cloderm. w/ steroid cream... need to wean myself. plan of attack... 3x today... 2x tomorrow... once the following solar day.
Locoid's thin layer of oily, slick, moisturizing film remains on fingers longer than Cloderm. should come in handy... boooo! hisss!... when I go to the gym. as far as effectiveness... will find out when I look at my fingers as soon as I get up tomorrow morning.
